Need more info. like, what year, do you mean it's out of the front or rear channel or out of the regulator channel. Pull your door panel and it should be quite evident where the problem lies.
Hey Jim, it is out of the piece that it rests in,I have the panel off and took the glass out and the chrome piece it fits into.just got the car and knew the window had a problem, it is a 1966 conv. driver side ,I am ordering a bunch of parts through volunteer but I couldnt find that part
You can order the rubber channel through various Corvette vendors or go to a local glass shop and pick up some. You'll need to heat the channel up with hot soapy water and press everything back together.
Thank you Jim, I will that what I needed to know,Tom
Before you clean the glass....make note of the "stain" on the glass..where the glass is stained from the rubber....it's important so the glass when installed back in channel/rubber it will fit in the front channel, if its to far back it will rattle, to far forward it will roll up hard....
Also be careful when you tap the glass into the rubber/channel...use lots of soapy water for lubrication on the glass/rubber.
It will allow you to adjust the glass in the channel by tapping into forward/backward to match the stain.
Let it set a few hours to dry so the glass wont move around.
