I believe what you have is one of the magnesium blocks cast by P&S Engineering in Ohio back in the late 70s. These blocks were primarily for drag race applications.
I have some photos of literature on them but it is saved as a .BMP file and I can't convert it to a JPEG file. If someone can tell me how to convert from BMP to JPEG, I will post pics.

And this is that very block Clem..................small bore sleeves for 255 cubic inch max for stock block engines at Indy in 1963. Mickey's son Danny told me the car qualified but due to oil and water leaks, Mickey asked USAC if he could switch to the GM aluminum block. USAC agreed and the car completed all 200 laps with the aluminum block, finishing in 9th place.
