I have used KYB's on a few cars, my previous 65 365 included.
While they are OK, I do not consider them the "Best".
They are very affordable, and are usually light years ahead of the shocks they replaced. (I find them a bit harsh) (gas shocks in general)
I guess its personal preference, I put KONI's at the top of the heap myself.
While others like Bilsteins , SPAX etc.
I am not a big fan of gas shocks on muscle / sports cars anymore.
Like I mentioned, its personal preference, & how you want it to ride.
I have used Classic KONIs on several cars and had good luck with them.
(The set on my 65 BB were installed in 1966) Koni claims their shocks will out live your car)
Lots of racers are now using Bilsteins or SPAX shocks, but I have not tried
them on a Vette. The SPAX shocks are externally adjustable (that's a plus)
(while Classic Konis require unbolting one end)
I suggest reading up on the operating principles of each style of shock
prior to making your decision. So you can decide which is best for you.
