Default Driver side mirror

I am hoping someone can give me measurements on where to place the driver’s side rear mirror on my 66 vette. I have the car stripped down to fiberglass and noticed the mirror must have been cleaned off a few times in its past lives as there are about 6 old holes in the door where the mirror must have been re mounted.

thanks

From the front edge of the chrome mirror base to the front edge of the door, at the peak line, is 12-15/16". There's a steel nut plate riveted to the inside of the door outer panel with two weld nuts on it for the screws that attach the mirror mount base to the door (UPC 1, sheet F2 in the Assembly Manual).
