Default Walter Berg?

I had the pleasure of running into Walter Berg this weekend with his '64 Grand Sport replica - very clean car. Anyone have a car restored/built by Walter?

Never had any work done by Walter, but I knew him and his cars, when he lived here in NJ. He was a member of the Central Jersey Chapter of the NCRS.

While I don't have a car that Walter worked on....I know him from many local events in NC. Walter is a hoot! His workmanship isn't bad either.

Walt is a legend for sure! Every time I run into him he makes me laugh.. And he's forgotten more about Corvettes than I know...

Here's the car in action:
http://rtp-corvettes.com/?m=200912

Scroll down to Walt's 'Quick64' on the Tube!

Warning: hip hop music. Just turn off the sound until the end when the Walter's car and the other car square off.

He's done a couple of resto's while in NC but I never seen them except for his GS which is immaculate!

Walter Can't wait to run into him again at C&C

Default Lenny G.

I have a Walter Berg car. 1963 ermine white convertible hard top also and knock offs. Complete ground up restoration. Knew Walter for years when he lived in Manalapan. Knew his son Thor also.
Haven't seen him since he moved to North Carolina.
Great craftmanship.

See him around here at the local shows and cruise in's. Nice work on his cars. Didn't realize he was such a legend.

Yea I've seen his cars also. They standout in a crowd off cars. He likes chrome knock offs and 502s.

Just spoke with Walter today at the Corvettes International Lake Wheeler show. He had the red car there and it looked great.
Told him you guys were taking his name in vain on the Forum here. (just kidding)

Gave him the web address and suggested he might join in.......

BTW - he is feeling alot better and seems to have recovered nicely.

In picture you can see his car in back ground....just over the trunk and by the guy in the jean shirt and jacket....love that tail treatment.

Fred, I take it this is your '58? Looks to be about the right vantage point.

Well, I can't tell you guys what a smile this thread brought to my father's face when he saw the kind comments and how everyone liked the cars brought back to life over these past years. Pop is slowing down a bit now and the red 64 coupe is probably the last car he will do given the difficulty he has with arthritis. I'm (son Thor) not involved with the Vettes much anymore given my busy travel schedule.

Below is a few pictures of "Walter" in his element... the garage playing with the cars at the local car show. Again, thank you for the kind words. You folks really made his day!!!
