Default Small block heads

I am building a 327/350 hp engine for my 67 Vette. I have a #3892657 block. With a good date code.I know that the heads #3890462 were used on the engine but was wondering if they used any #3917291 heads of the 67 Vette's. To my understanding this head came out in March of 67? Did any of them make them on?

Yes as long as the boss for the temp sensor isn't drilled which began for the 1968 cars. My '67 has April '291 heads.

My dates on both heads are May 67 within two days of each other and the block is the same date as one of the heads in May and about 3 weeks before my build date.

John Z- off topic perhaps, but just want to tell you thanks for sharing your vast amount of knowledge. You don't even know it, but you have helped me do my resto with several items that I didn't know how to do correctly. Thanks much buddy..
