Default Cragar 390c Street Pro Wheels

Looking at these in 17 X 7 for my 63 (with the spinners). I am under the impression that a 0 offset is the best (in doing research), however, these only come in a -10mm offset. Any thoughts on a potential issue?

My 63 is totally stock, no mods.

Appreciate any help

Eric

Actually, they should be about right. With a C2, you want at least 4" of backspacing with a 7" wheel. Zero offset would give you 3-1/2". 10mm is about 0.4", so that's a total of 3.9" of backspacing. A little more offset wouldn't hurt, and you'll have to see what tires fit.

The rim width is measured from inside each lip so a 7 inch wheel is actually a total of 8 inches wide, a zero offset would be a 4 inch backspace. That is why I am curious to see if a -10 offset is ok.

At least this is what I have been told. Willing to be corrected if I am mis-informed

Those do look good. Curious though, did you have to use the spacers to address an issue that I would also have on my 63? Do you have disc's vs my drums that create the need for a spacer?

yes, i have disc brakes with thick calipers. the rims just touched the caliper during the fit. i wasn't ready to change studs, adding spacers. everything worked out fine . even the wheel-well clearace.
