The NCRS judging guide notes that "On air conditioned models, the right hand horn is rotated slightly to provide clearnce for the piping to the condensor."

Thanks guys, I thought they pointed inward. The plumbing on the right for the ac and PG tranny cooler prevented me from mounting it straight. I appreciate the replies- I thought my memory was failing me as I only removed them a few days ago.
