63 Brake light problem

63 Brake light problem
My brake lights aren't working. I am getting 12 volts at the brake switch, and to the direction switch on the column, but not enough current to light a test light? Seems a bit odd. Has anybody experienced this?

Usually if a wire shows voltage but will not pass much current it is a sign of a corroded connector, a bad connection or a bad wire between that point and the power source. Go up that wire to the point that it will light the test light and try to isolate the section that is bad.
