Default 5 speed
Has anyone installed a 5 speed in a C 2? My neighbor has a 67 convertible with a 427 motor and wants to add a 5 speed. He has been told you have to cut the tunnel to achieve this.

Any info would be appreciated.

I installed a Tremec TKO 600 5 speed in my '64 restomod with an LS7 without cutting any portion of the tunnel.

The new RS series is smaller than the Tremec so there should not be any tunnel clearance issues.

I also installed a TKO 600 in my L-79. You can have issures with getting the proper drive line and sagging floor boards. Do a search and you will find a lot of info on the subject.

I also have the TKO 600 in my 65 coupe. No cutting. Bought it from Keisler as a package with everything you need to complete the install.

Tunnel surgery is only required when installing a T-56; not required for installation of a Tremec TKO.
