It has been two years, and will be ready to Ride for Fall 2011. She was a real wreck now a beauty queen to me. Will have a plasticon hardtop, 350 engine, AC I live in a hot place and other nice things. The body work is done no primer yet so looks a little rough. Four more hard months to go fingers crossed.

The rear ends of your rear springs should be above the ends of the rear frame crossmember, outboard of the frame rails (see photo below); the rear ride height will be pretty high if you leave them as they are.

This vette had a hard working life. Its history was as a dragster there were 12 inch holes on the left and right side of the engine bay for flames to shoot out for entertainment purposes.
The windshield is on strong, wiper motor installed. All of the gages are in the dash except the speedometer . The AC control is close to the steering wheel. There is a pull out **** for heat close to the cowl arm. Radio is in, the dash is painted and the nose is on.
By the end of July the engine will be wired, the exhaust installed and be able to crank the engine.
You are correct about the top in the picture not being a plasticon, as I have two hard tops and have not posted a picture of the plasticon here. Along the way I seem to have collected two of some things, like two driver side doors, two front grills, two sets of wheels, three speedometers. But the plasticon top will be on in the end.
