"S" rating is 110 mph. No private vehicle has any business traveling over 80 mph on a public highway, so S should be enough for anything but a closed-highway timed event or a race track.

In my experience, once you get past "T" (118 mph) treadlife begins to go down as the speed rating goes up. An undetectable (by steering feel) misalignment cost me almost half the tread on a street-driven "H" (130 mph) tire in a couple of weeks on one of my wife's Jags.

Good point Zale. Unfortunately you only have an "S" rated Corvette!

C2 Corvettes are capable of............but are very unstable at "V" rated speeds. I understand and attain those speeds often, and believe me, you don't want to try these speeds on other than a racetrack.
