Lost another car guy
Well friends, it is with an extremely heavy heart that I say that a very close friend of mine of over 19 years passed away on Friday, July 1st, 2011. His name is Matt Bartocci and was 37 years old. He and I met in college and stayed friends ever since. He married his wife the same year I married mine. We started families about the same time too.
We shared a passion for old Chevys. He for Chevelles and I for Corvettes. We spent a lot of time at car shows and talking about what next to do with our cars.
Here he is two years ago August, helping me work on the 67.
He leaves behind his mom and dad, his wife and his two small kids. Sam just turned 3 and Tessa just turned 1.
He struggled his whole life with Cystic Fibrosis and underwent a double lung transplant 5 years ago. The end came peacefully and his wife was with him.
He was strong in conviction and true to his word.
Gonna miss ya buddy.....
