There is a vendor on EBay (XXCARGUY) that sells custom made car themed t-shirts. The shirts have cute sayings on them, and a '67 Vette (coupe and vert) that they say they can duplicate your car color on. I ordered 4 of them. I stated that I wanted the car printed on the BACK of the shirt in Lynndale Blue, which I sent them sample pics of. After I paid through PayPal, three weeks later (they advertise 3 days) they sent the 4 shirts with the car on the FRONT of the shirt (which I personlly hate), nothing on the back, and colored in Marina Blue not Lynndale. When I informed them about these errors and told them I wanted the shirts redone correctly, their response was they although they apologize for their error, they wouldn't redo them unless I sent them more money, again, for something that they screwed up. When I refused to pay them any more money, their written response was, and I quote..."And this is why we don't do business with Corvette people!" Just a heads up in case you come across their ads and are considering a purchase. And in case you are a "Corvette people!" Unreal.
If they don't do business w/Corvette people, how come they did yours?
It was their quote to me, not mine. And it came after I refused to send them any more money to correct their errors. I believe their thinking was, Corvette people are too demanding...they expect to get what they paid for. But you're welcome to try them
Thanks Dave. Looked for you at Cannibal Cruise in Truckee. You would have loved it. I got beat out for Factory High Performance/Modified by a '67 Vert, that never had his top down, his windows down or his hood open, but was a Truckee Car Club car...go figure

Didn't see your feedback on xxcarguy. You enter it? If not, how are others supposed to know...

Don't leave feedback on him until the dispute is settled. It's one of your only tools.
You need to file a paypal dispute. Send the shirts backs. They will freeze his account for the total he owes you. If he refuses the shipment? Paypal will settle on the spot.
He will settle damn quick.
Paypal is VERY buyer friendly. The opposite for sellers.
Convey the above story in the comments box when filing dispute.
I am sure you will get satisfaction.

If you used paypal you can easily get your money back by filing a complaint.
I used PayPal, filed a claim, and they refused the claim because they deemed it was "custom made" merchandise. Didn't know that policy before I bought using Paypal, I'll be careful from now on. I did receive a refund through my Visa dispute process though, but just this month. As to Ebay feedback, this whole thing started in the beginning of February. I was going to order the shirts with the Ebay process, but since I was ordering 4, I thought I could save some shipping costs by contacting the seller to see how they wanted to handle a multiple shirt order. I emailed them through Ebay, they quoted me a price and then they invoiced me though Paypal, but separate from Ebay. Since the transaction technically wasn't an Ebay transaction, I couldn't leave feedback. I did alert Ebay as to what transpired though. And just to be clear, the seller did offer to remake the shirts, but only if: 1. I paid for the return shipping costs to return their incorrect shirts, 2. I send them another $20 for the cost of the shirts and 3. I also paid the shipping costs (again) for them to send the corrected (hopefully) shirts. I thought these additional costs were unreasonable for replacing merchandise they made incorrectly, and that I had already paid them for. Their response was the "Corvette people" quote.
they apologize for their error .... "And this is why we don't do business with Corvette people!"
Too bad I cant have a side practice. If a phone call or letter didnt change their attitude, there would be a complaint filled in small claims Court. They can come to Court with their attorney and apologize with a check covering your payment and fees. Damn, that would be fun

Unless you live in SF in which it will take you 5 years just to get a court date.

You would be better off to take a good photo of your car, and look for local t-shirt shops that will make a silk screen of it and put it on any shirt you like. Same as putting someones face on your shirt. That way you control the pic and the shirt quality. Cheers.

July 8, 9 &10. It really is a nice show, despite peer judging strongly biased towards Lake area cars. Must have been 9 or 10 nice Vettes; most of any regular car show I go to. You should go...you can use some friends!
