Default Windscreen question

Can any members advise me, if a car 65 (coupe) is ordered with clear glass
all around would the front windscreen be totally clear or could it come with a tint band across the top. Or is this regarded as a tinted screen or is a tinted screen completely tinted through out. So therefore was a tint banded screen only ever offered?
Regards Brian.

If ordered w/o tinted glass then the windshield was totally clear.

I don't believe a windscreen (windshield in the USA) with a tinted band at the top was ever available on a C-2 whether or not it had a tinted windshield. The clear winshield was totally clear, and the tinted was equally tinted throughout, as I recall.

Dan is correct and if you are looking for a clear LOF windshield and are not worried about the date I have one for sale in the f/s section.

A little further information, going from memory. You could order, as I recall at least for 1965 and 1966, clear all around, tinted all around, or tinted windshield only.

Ron.. you are exactly 100 percent correct... and up to 1967 this was an option. That is also how we ended up with a clear windshield for sale....

We looked at the side glass and forgot about the other option....

Expensive mistake too!

Brian.. you can email us at Willcox@Willcoxcorvette.com or 812-288-7103. The windshield is still in the box and shipping to Indy would not be very expensive since it's only 110 miles north of here.
