Default 2818 Holly float pin

Working on my 2818 Holly carb. The pin that holds the float keeps coming loose. Gas pours out. Is the pin crimped in? Is there an adhesive that will work? Thanks

Working on my 2818-1 carb today also, the pins in the ones I have, appear to be a press fit. If the pin comes out, I would suggest that you slightly deform (put a flat / nick on it) the pin about .030 to .040 from the edge of the pin that is pressed in. Don't go crazy and smash the daylight out it. One hit from a small hammer and punch will deform it enough to help hold it in place while the loctite sets. find some red loctite and rub a drop or two on the shaft and just a smear on the hole. If you put too much in the hole you won't seat the shaft properly.

No I haven't done this to a holley carb before but have done similar installs on other press fits that were a little loose.
