I had my hardtop restored by Glassworks in PA. The problem I have is when top is bolted down on rear deck, the corners fit, but about the center 20 inches or so has a air gap between the rubber gasket and the deck almost 3/4 inch gap. Top fit prior to restoration, but that was with original equipment on top. Is it an adjustment problem, or is it a top problem. HELP..........

Thanks, I called Glassworks, looks like I had their Dad do my restoration ( Some kind of family fall out ) Anyway one of their boys said that the frame ( Bird Cage ) as they refer to it was not straightened. Looks like I spent a lot of $$$, and to correct the problem the top will have to be taken apart again to fix the problem. Has anyone else had issues with their top after I think the son said the name of the father's is business is Itonics, or something simular to that.

when I did my hardtop I fitted it on the car before i put the window in. once the window and seal is in place you are committed to that fit. it is a fussy assembly.

yes, there was a family falling out years ago and the dad and son went separate ways. the dad died a year or so ago but his new wife was still running their business when i was at the Kissimmee show last January. i don't remember the name of the dad's business, they used to advertise in the NCRS Driveline along with Glassworks, but someone will; give them a call.
