Tough situation. My Mom spent 8 yrs caring for my stepfather (Alzheimer's). In the end they (patients) end up starving to death. Due to no feeding tube orders. Terribly tragic disease.
She was 13 yrs younger than he. But she died only a few yrs after of ALS.
Alzheimer's caregivers are under stress most of us can only imagine. It usually destroys the caregiver too.
ANYTHING you can do to alleviate your Moms burden will help. Not just money,but your time and attention will do wonders for her.
Things like the Vette become un-important items in this situation. Time to let it go.
Alzheimer's is like dropping an atom bomb on the family.
I wish your family the best!

Michael, It sounds to me like you've made the best decision for your family. I have two aunts with alzheimers and I have some idea of the tough situation that you are in. Best of luck on your sale and for you and your entire family.
Your 62 looks like a very fun driver. If I wasn't a continent away I would be interested in seeing it. Did you or your dad ever put it on a dyno?
