Default Help identifing alternator

Can someone help me identify this alternator? I know it is not correct for my 65 L79. It looks like part # 1102489 51amp, hard to read both these numbers. It has a date code of 6J20 and 12v neg which is much more readable. It also has 117 stamped on the outer edge of the upper mounting flange/ear.

Thanks for your help.

1102489 is an internal reg alt. 42 amp. Yours has an external rear and internal front. It should still work fine for your application. Someone mixed and matched the 2 ends during a rebuild. Not a big deal unless you want an original number for your car. The condition of the capacitor on the rear of the alt is frightening. It looks as if the end was cleaned with a steel shot blaster before rebuilding.

Thanks for your help. I am presently looking for a correct alternator and will remove this one soon. Does this one have any value or is it a good boat anchor?

I have the correct fuel line and filter on order and will correct the fire hazard.

You mean electrical sparky things and hot manifolds are not a good idea near plastic filters and rubber hoses?
