windshield wiper problem
When I turn on the wiper switch in the '64, nothing happens for 4-5 minutes then they come on. when I turn the switch off, the wipers stay on for 4-5 minutes and then go off. Anyone had this problem?

Pull the cover off the motor, and clean the parking mechanism. Get the old caked up grease off and re lube.

Would add that once you get gears inside the cover all cleaned up and re-greased with fresh grease to run the wipers every now and then to keep the motor, gears, and grease loose. Pretty common issue with old Corvette's that are very pampered, don't leave the garage much, and rarely ever see rain which equals wipers that aren't used much - if ever. I run my wipers about once every month for a little while just to keep the gears loose and functioning right. Might also check to see if you have any rust on the ground connection.
