Didn't the L79 come with finned aluminum valve colors? I'm looking at one that says it's a 327/350hp. That is the L79 correct? The car is silver pearl and appears to have a grey interior? When i look up options for that year it shows a silver interior available. This one doesn't look silver but perhaps the lighting? Thanks for any advice?

I think the interior looks silver but the engine looks like a 300 HP ( valve covers, air cleaner etc). Check the pad in front ( or have the dealer look and report ) and post the suffix ( 2 letters) here and we can tell you what the engine is.
PS Looks like 65 GGVert was helping while I was typing!
Don't use the picture below as a restoration reference as there are a few details that are incorrect such as missing ignition shielding and an incorrect thermostat housing, but here's my 65 L79. The carb should be a Holley 2818, intake aluminum, valve covers finned.

From the photo the engine looks as though it's a L75 327/300hp. Yes, an L79 is a 327/350hp to answer one of your questions, and yes that is a silver interior. Like 62Jeff has posted, here is a pic of a '65 L79 engine.
With the options on it and it not being a L79 is this car worth the asking price?
Not in this market.
Although it's an A/C car (but the A/C system looks suspiciously incorrect) and a rare silver/silver combo, it ought to be a restored L79 for almost 50k in this market, in my opinion.
Interesting. Maybe i'm not looking in the right places for vettes. I have narrowed down what i'm looking for. 65-67 Coupe Silver/Black Red/Black White/Black with A/C. Suggestions?

Just patience.
In this market with people running scared of the economy and stock market, many of them having taken out home equity loans to buy their cars only to then lose their jobs, there should be a good selection of cars available over the next year.
Check the forum for sale section, check Pro Team to see the high-end of asking prices, watch E-Bay for actual Sales prices to get a sense of what things are moving at, ignore Barrett Jackson auction results as they are typically an alcohol-fueled penile measurement contest that has limited basis in the true market.

It looks like a very nice car... having air is a plus, but it is an L75 with a powerglide... it is no way near worth the asking price. JMHO
Thanks all. I looked at proteam's site and almost fainted. I'm not looking for a show car. I'm going to drive and enjoy it. I'm in the 50k range on my purchase. Please let me know if this is realistic. Thanks
Wow!! That's exactly what i'm looking for and i'm willing to put in the time and work. I just don't want something that is so far gone i have to restore the whole thing. VERY nice vette you have.
Looking at it from a different perspective, I've got about $30k in this car, which I bought in 2006 and then brought up to snuff on my own.
Silver/silver coupe, 300 horse originally but converted to an L79, factory A/C, 4 speed, real 1965 knock-offs (not repros), power steering and brakes.

Jeff - no truer words have ever been spoken
Lone Star - not sure what area of the country you are from, but the Carlisle, PA corvette show is next week - Thurs-Sun. There will be lots of corvettes there for sale I suspect. As a previous member said - patience is key to finding the car you want at a reasonable price.
