64 vs 65 trailing arm assembly

Default 64 vs 65 trailing arm assembly

Is there a big difference between the 64 vs 65 trailing arm assembly. Or is the only difference for drum vs disc brakes?

Yes, the bump stop pad on the '65 is inboard more. The '64 is like the '63 in that they used the arm itself for the bump stop. This is because the bumper had to be moved to clear the caliper on the '65 and up cars.

1965 and up

There are also two parking brake cable brackets for disc brake cars. One right at the hub on top, the other (larger) bracket on the outboard face of the trailing arm...
