Anybody has any experience with the “new and improved” hood hinges from Corvette Central (Item# 461030 )? The original hinges on my ‘57 are worn and falling apart, these new hinges are considerably cheaper than original replacements.
The hinges you are speaking of have very little adjustment as compared with the original. You will also need to cut slots in your radiator side panels for the aftermarket hinges to work.

I used them on my modified 57 and it is a pleasure to look at the car and not see a huge gap at the front of the hood. HOWEVER I would not use them on a stock restoration due to the modifications needed.
