Thinking of attending.
Anybody have an opinion on it?
Is it bigger than Fall Carlisle?
How crowded is it?
How bad is the traffic?
Thanks in advance

If you like old cars, Hershey is the ultimate experience. Probably the largest flea-market in the world, and the best car show. However, there is not much Corvette stuff there.
It takes three days to see the swap meet area, and sale cars, etc. The show is Saturday morning. Do not go expecting to see the swap meet and car show on Sat. by then most of the swap meet is gone.
I hope Hershey is dried out, received an email yesterday hosting recent photos showing major flooding in that area. Is there a number we can call for information?
By far the best car show and market I have been to on the east end, but not to much corvette stuff. It is a must to go and experience. Cars and trucks from every time period. Also stop at the mueseum if you can.

If you just like being around wheels, all kinds of wheels (different cars/trucks) and your a car person at heart it's one heck of a show to at least experience one time. Since it was in the past mostly antique and that is rapidly changing, I never went but after experiencing I plan to go each year. Go experience it and you will enjoy.

Corvettes at Carlisle and Hershey AACA are bookend events for me and other car club buddies....we drive 9 hours to get there. As noted above, not a Corvette event by any means....but you will see every type and class of old car there from $5,000 drivers to $1,000,000 plus Duesenbergs. Swap meet and vendors and the for sale car corral are the order of business on Thurs and Friday. All on asphalt and huge....five times bigger than Carlisle at least. Saturday is Car Show day....on grass right across from the flea field. Huge showing....high quality cars....just fun to walk and look. Get there early on Saturday as the crowds pour in and by 11am, you have a hard time seeing the cars and photos get pretty tough to get. As for vendors and fleas, half are ususally gone on Saturday morning. I usually get there as the sun is coming up.....very much worth attending if you enjoy the automobile hobby. OH, and no charge to get in other than a $10.00 bill to park.

If you never went my advice is to experience it.
I started going to Hershey in 1981 and I had a vendor space for many years. In the begining Hershey was for the "old" cars, very few 60's and 70's. Over the years I noticed less cars from the teens and twenty's and more post war cars.
I stopped vending a few years ago due to changes in buying habit.
AACA allows any car 25 years or older on the show field so now you will see 1986 and older cars.
You will walk for three days due to the vendors spread out over 3 large fields.
There is a Chocolate, Red and Green field. I think they might even have an Orange field.
It is bigger than Carlisle and there is no grouping of like car manufacturers.
On the positive side there is no car show like Hershey in the world. You could spend a day doing the car corral and the show.
As stated the car show is only on Saturday and is the end of the event.

I have been going to the Fall Hershey show for many years. If you enjoy vintage iron, you will love this show. The flea market runs from Wed to Friday and the car show is on Saturday. The car corral runs on all of these days. There are not too many Corvette parts for sale , but there are lots of Corvettes to see in the corral and car show. As stated before, if you go once, it will probably stay on you list of "Must See" shows.

PS: The flea market is also open on Saturday, but most people are in the Car show area.
From: If I say it's safe to surf this beach ......then it's safe to surf this beach
Ditto to all the good things already said about Hershey, especially that it is a Must See event at least once. We've been going off & on for the past dozen years, including last year when they received enough rain on Wednesday to meet the monthly average, while Thursday was a Chamber of Commerce perfect day.
As for Vettes, there are enough cars and parts on hand to make a decent Vette Show if you could gather them all in one corner, but they're so spread out all over the Pennsy countryside. The place is huge, it dwarfs other shows.
I have a semi-good memory but Hershey is so big I've been unable at times to find certain booths/vendors that I wanted to go back to a second time (Misc-type booths with tools or whatever). It all starts looking the same after awhile. So after the show one year I made a note to myself as a future memory jogger. It has come in handy......
