Besides, a "F" was used on Flint motor stamps through 1966. In 1967 they used a "V".

Engine Code Question.
decoded the engine. the engine stamp is V1210MA. It decoded to Flint Motor plant, dec 12 (1965 based on date code on casting) and destined for.... a Camaro? that was the only MA designation that matched to the engine casting.
There was no vin or year stamp, just the engine stamp on the far right of the stamp pad.
my vette neighbor said the high rise is original corvette, it has a holley 4181 (seems to match the 65 vettes with 365 hp) has the corvette valve covers etc... has angled spark plugs.
is this a warmed over camaro engine or something else given the absence of a vin number on the engine stamp?

You need to check that casting date again, as there is no way a 1965 block, could have ended up in any Camaro.
My info shows 3 uses of MA. 1958 283 2bbl with a manual trans in a truck, 63 283 2bbl and auto in a truck, and 67 327 2bbl and manual trans in a Camaro. What is the block casting number, this would give an idea of what size the engine is.
No production small block, used angle plug heads. What is the casting number of the intake? 64 & 65 Corvettes used a Holley 4150, 66's used a 4160, and 67's used 4150's 4160's and 2300's.

3892657_casting_no has the clock casting saying it was made 6 hrs into the shift.

That is how I read it. The date code is a little hard to read, but I am sure the last digit is a 5. You can see the sharp angle of the upper left of of a number 5. Nothing else has that shape.
My BIL got this from a TN collector back in 82. He never touched so I don't expect there was any monkey business on the stampings.
Here are the pics. If they don't show up, I put them in my vette album.

It was a replacement engine....
....now I know from what.
Not sure if it matters in the NOM category of Corvettes, but it means it isn't the '65 365 hp everyone thought it was, though it appears to be so equipped looking at it.
Did Corvettes ever have angled-plug heads or is that a camero phenom?
