67 headlight test ?
I would like to test the rotation of my headlights before I put the engine compartment completely together . can I put a 12 volt charger hooked up to positive cable, ground the other lead and test the rotation?

Yes, you can test the rotation but not the way you describe. One of the leads you describe is for up rotation and the other is for down, so both of them are positive. The motor housing is the ground.
