Correct.
The tooth angles are the BIG, MAJOR difference. The M22 gears, with the lesser tooth angle, are by design much stronger--------------------but also VERY noisy. The M22 trannys make an unmistakable whine in 1-2-3 gears. Your pansy sissys don't like this whine noise-------------------I LOVE IT!

i like to hear a gear whine going through the gears, but am not fond of it in direct drive gears...

Besides the gear teeth angle, I see the syncro rings (brass colored)are thicker and the lower shaft is much heavier as well. Good pics, thanks John, saved! Have any of the t-10?

All '66-up Muncies used the 1" countershaft ('63-'65 was 7/8"). Don't have any good T-10 gear photos, but they look essentially the same as M20/21 Muncie gears.
