I have a T-10 in my 64, don't know if it belongs in there or not, but it is what I have.
There is a problem with 2nd and 3rd.
I have another T-10 in my garage, can anyone identify this unit and can I use it in my Vette? There is a Hurst shifter in it now.
Cover - 2 5 63A
Case stamp - WF2822
Main Case - T10-7D 3813490 R-1
Tail - T-10 -1C 3782212
Thanks
I think your trans is a 1963 built in June. But I could be reading this book wrong. I do not think the main and tail numbers match which may mean it has been rebuilt and could be a good thing. Just check the input shaft to see that the number of splines are the same as the muncie. It will also require the same shifter so they will need to be switched. If you want to sell your broken mincie please let me know. I would like to rebuild one as a spair.
According to my book the trans information is as follows:
WF2822
W = Warner Gear Division
F = Month of production (June)
28 = Day of Production
2 = 1962
2 = 2nd shift
You obviously can use it (since you already know a T-10 will work in your car), and it is true that the production use of T-10's in Corvettes ended in mid 63.
