Default 327 Block HELP!!

So the block on my 1965 C2 had low pressure. Not wanting to do a retoration and then hve an issue later we stripped down the engine to check it out whilst the body is off. We tested the 327 block and its been bored out to +60 (so its at end of life). I then bought a second hand 327 block from a UK dealer (which was supposed to be at +50)and tested that and that is also bored out to the max. I'm really in trouble here! Having imported a car and been caught out on both chassis and now engine I need some advice. Where can I get a decent 327 block which has not been bored out to the max? Also I am now looking at a 350 option as 327 seem limited. ( I wanted to keep the car to original spec if possible). Any help appreciated on:
a)Good source of 327 block
b) A good crate engine supplier (who wont rip me off)
c) As I have to replace the block should I consider a 350 anyway?
My restoration project is getting me down....I need a bit of good luck!!!!

350 from jegs and summitracing. You could resleeve it.

I have a 350/406hp General Motors Crate Engine for sale now. Its a Fastburn (385HP cammed 406HP) . Its in my vette and running. You could have another member or a GM Dealer check it out. I am rebuilding my 327/340 now and will be putting it in as soon as its ready. The price is half of what a new Fastburn is. PM me if interested.
Check my posts, the billet pulleys are the only issue with the engine, because of their size the installer had to raise the engine higher then normal to clear the Crossmember. If you remove the Billet pullies and put the normal pullies on, it will clear the top of the crossmember without issue. PS I won't rip you off!

Ugh...just noticed you are in England, shipping may be an issue

2nd on this recommendation. You can buy anything from just the block, short block, or the entire crate 327 engine already to go and just drop it in and then bolt on whatever you have for exhaust manifolds and you are rolling. I do more purchases with JEG's than Summit but both are outstanding.

Good Luck,
Kevin

My view is have the cylinder walls sonic tested for thickness. You may be able to go .070 over.

On the other hand, what does bore size have to do with low pressure, whatever that means?

Hello Mike. Im not mechanical so perhaps I didnt make myself clear. Due to having low 'oil pressure' we decided to investigate. As we are doing body off - we had the motor stripped down. 2 pistons were showing wear and needed to be replaced. So replace the pistons we would need to rebore. We were told that was NOT an option as the block has already been re bored so +60. We are aware we could put sleeves into the engine but I dont like that idea. We were not provided an option to take the engine to .070 as the engineer said it was risky. Any other advice on this line would be greatly appreciated. Rob

Put a 383 in it and drive it to Ipswitch or the country roads around norwich!

Better yet make it ZL1 then you can go this route l-88 clone:

Love the color scheme?
