found one...
After looking and shopping I finally found a C2 to make mine. What's funny is it is not what I thought I was looking for, but it's a clean one owner car. The important numbers match, it's an early '64 build, and only had one owner till we bought it. It's not as nice as some I looked at, but when I went over I just liked it, decided it would be the one. Nothing too fancy, 327/300, PG, soft top delete, AM/FM and aftermarket A/C.
I'll be asking a lot more questions here now.
Bruce

Hardtop is a distinctive C2 body style, second only to SWC IMO. And Saddle Tan, one of the rarest colors, is my favorite stock hue.

Congratulations Bruce - very nice little '64. I love the looks of a C2 with the hardtop installed.
It sounds like yours and ours were optioned almost identically. Ours was originally a hardtop-only, 327/300 with Powerglide and AM/FM as well. The soft top and PS were added to our car later in life.
I think it's really cool that you found a 1-owner car. You mentioned that it is an early '64 - how early in production is it? Ours was built in early September, 1963.
Again, congratulations on a great find!
Regards,
Todd

Very nice, congrats!
I love the look of the hardtop on a C1 or C2, but out of curiosity, did you ask him why he went hard top only rather than coupe?
