Default Carpet... Again

I am finding all kinds of conflicting reviews from across the years for the best carpet kits on a midyear. I want to do a holiday carpet install on my 64 Coupe, is there any recent experience.

I called a few corvette places that say Al Knoch "used to be good", but its hard to get a consensus on what is good right now... any recent experiences here ?

Corvette America and Al Knoch, both have a good quality product.

Also, sorry for the newby question, but there are with and without padding options :

Carpet Without Padding

Carpet Foam Back

Jute Padding Kit

Am I correct in assuming that if you use the Jute kit, you dont want the foam backed carpet ?

I recently bought new carpet from ACC for my '64 Roadster. I have not installed it yet though. I had it custom made in Tru-Vette material which GM started using in the Corvettes in 1994. It's a very nice tight & short cut-pile. Although I haven't installed this set in my 64 yet, I have installed ACC carpets in my Miata and my '91 Z28. No complaints on the quality.

Yeah I did a pretty decent search for all things carpet related, but there are other threads that directly conflict with that one with regard to ACC. I imagine over time as suppliers and tooling changes, it causes different outcomes for different people.

I just bit the bullet yesterday and ordered an ACC product via CorvetteAmerica and a jute kit also with free shipping. I wanted it before the holiday, so I had to just make a choice, hope it works out ! Thanks for the replies.
