It's my car. I don't care what the next owner likes. Don't care what GM intended. Don't care that some agree and others don't. I like 6. I'm installing 6. When I'm driving, only the people it bothers will be seeing 6. If you don't like 6, don't install them. Pretty well sums up the issue from my perspective.

Funny thing about the 6 tail light configuration. Just about everybody who loves these cars can remember a 6 tail light car they've seen.
I guess it served it's purpose.

Funny part is....I thought the exact same thing when I bought mine with 6, but after you own one with 6 for a while, the ones with four start to look like something is missing....

I didn't want the exhaust hole detail to go away either when I added sidepipes, so those holes became tailight #7 & #8......

BTW, my third set only has holes, with no "buckets" glassed in - uses a bracket on the backside instead - so you could try that if you don't want to mess with glass.

Eddie,
Could you get a photo of this bracket you refer to? I'm not opposed to trying glass but am looking for the easiest way to get it done

Default Yeah it was kind of a California thing

Bob Wingate's company car -- not too shabby! As many of you know, this car was tracked down and restored to just as you see it. Even better, Mr. Wingate was reunited with it.

And the "quote" is from the movie the Gumball Rally, not Cannonball Run.

Default 3, the way it shoud be

Best conversion I've seen makes use of the the fiber tail light pockets cut from a scrap tail light panel. They can be made to almost look as if they were factory.

Three goes better with some colors and they do look like they belong.

I imagine the lights are set outboard rather than centered to make the car look wider at night ofr safety.

Why did they ever put that clunky back light on the 67s...what were they thinking?

I wish my car had six tailights, I think they look great. I'm from So Cal before moving to Vegas so maybe that's why I think they look so good. I thought my vette was finished but maybe its not!

Oh, yeah. And he ripped and tossed the mirror out of a FERRARI. Now that's class.

The only Corvette made it just a few blocks, didn't even get out of NYC. AIR the whole backend of a C3, axle, wheels and all was torn loose, leaving the driver and navigator scraping to a halt in what ws left. No doubt a mocked-up stunt car, but still funny as hell. Director was obviously a Cobra guy, as that's what won the race. Linda Vaughn stopped the Ferrari yards from victory.

If Chevy had beaten Ford to the punch with six sequential-flashing rear turn signal lights a la Thunderbird, '63s would have been back-ordered past the end of production in June or so.
