All windshields have "AS1", regardless of date. The windshield has been replaced before - the "YJ" code is October of either 1965 or 1978.
A typical code for your car would be "CL" (November, 1961).
As Frankie noted, seek knowledgeable assistance if you haven't done this job before; it's NOT a job for a first-timer.

I know some one who is looking to buy a windshield for there car. Please post who you buy yours from and how well it fit. Everybody said it's a tough job replacing. I've done a few and unless I'm doing it wrong, they are not that bad if you just take yor time.
The only thing that I may be doing wrong is I've never put a sealant between the glass and the rubber seal. For those of you that are in the know, are you suppose to?
