But 67 didn't have a split window.I think it's a fake.I'm calling NCRS. Shemp
oh come now you must have heard of that car my fathers best friends sons ex boss used to own , well he had one of those 67 split windows but his was made of steel. Well now when at the car show all those guys are going to be pointing and saying see I told you they made them !!!
I have a technical question.. When you lift the body to drop it back on the frame, is there any chance it will flex and cause the paint to develop cracks? I've never painted one off the frame before.
I like it. I am interested to see it all come together. do you have any information of what the final product will be like? LS7? Old Skool BB?
No ls motor, tube chassis or BB . its getting a 392Ci stroker stock chassis . I would like to build a tube frame car someday but I build these to sell . When you go tube frame and ls power you add at least 50k to the price and it is not 50k better . I sell these hot rods for between 60 and 70 K and they are brand new cars when done . I sell them faster than I can build them

never had an issue of cracks we use a twin post lift on the rocker channels and one guy can set the body. This is a coupe however and is much more rigid than a conv

NICE...do you use eBay or do you already have them sold before you build?
Great work on the car. It looks great. Man you must never rest. You make me feel lazy when it comes to my car!
hey thanks but dont you feel lazy . I have myself and 3 full time people working on these cars . This crew really knows what they are doing and are very fast at it.
Awesome concept, I'm surprised there aren't more later year SWC customs. I've often thought of it.

The '63 was the first of the midyears to be valuable beyond reason, with some quoting them as being worth $10,000 in the mid to late '70s. They really weren't as you could buy most midyears in the $3000 to $5000 range then.
The '67s became the big desirable one with all of them turning into 435 hp cars. Like the saying, Chevy built 3754 435-hp 1967 Corvettes and all 7543 of them have been found and restored.
I have seen a long time ago some of the 1968 up bodies with a midyear coupe grafted to it and even a split window or two. But that was a long time ago.
So most that had been customized were restored stock, and most don't want to risk their investment in customizing. Still, there are more than a few on here that have been, with the extra wide rear quarters, and other changes.

I've even heard that back in the day the split in windscreen would be an obstruction so some would cut them out and replace them with later model screens in order to have a full rear view.
