Bumper Rust
The front bumper on my 56 looks great from the front but has moderate rust on the inside. Does the piece need to be rechromed? Will it stop the rust? Is there a product to paint/apply on the inside that will stop the decay. Its still a very solid piece I just dont want it to get worse.

If front chrome is ok there is no need to replate. When the piece was plated, it was positioned so the chrome adhered to the front, not the back (even though some does get there). If you want it to look sort of like chrome, get one of the chrome color paints. The back being rusty will not affect the chrome on the front.
