This is why I went with the no offset kit. I did not have to worry about rub especially on the fender. If you get non offset you have to re-align your front end. Wilwood pushes it out about a ¼ of an inch and other kits as much as an inch and a ½.
I took off the front wheels this morning and had to grind a little more off the outer disc brake pad that floats above the hub. The wife and I took it for a good ride and no known problems at this time. I wish I changed them out along time ago. Best money I spent since new top and seats.
I will keep everyone posted who is looking to change out their brakes in the next few months for any problems I incur. This is truly a great site.
I will be using c3 spindles and trailing arms on my conversion. I can live with different offset as I will need to get different wheels anyway.

Would you advise this kit for a 64 with 15"genuine knock offs
thanks
Btw tried to view your photos but couldn't ,I'm new to the forum and corvettes so any help much appreciated
Yes I would advise to use this kit. 1\ Its inexpensive (around 4 hundreds bucks) and 2\ It took me about 3.5 hours to install and 3\ I have not experienced any major problems with my brakes to date (about 300 miles). MGChevy mentioned in his ad on Bay to have rims greater than 14 inch but also in his instructions showed what part of the bracket to shave off if it is not a perfect fit. I had plenty of room with 67 rally wheels.
Just purchased a no offset disc brake kit for my 64 vette. Easy install and brakes work great. mgchevy on ebay. Worth the 400 bucks with shipping included.
Hi I'm a newby here first post so still figuring things out, do you think this kit will fit with 15" knock offs on my 64, and what master cylinder should I change to for my single manual one.
Thanks

Whoops just re posted to you, sorry i,m still getting the hang of the whole posting thing. Can't figure out the photos yet.
Thanks
Mine just came today, going to the Kissimmee show this weekend, but maybe the weekend after, will down the car for the frt disc brakes and rear trailing arms.
That's Great news. I know I really do enjoy driving my vette again. I have confidence when I hit the brakes it stops straight and true every time even in the rain.

That is the way i did it too. Spindles from a 1974 (i think)in front with new calipers, rotors, dustshields, bearings, bolts and paint
New complete and assembled trailingarms from Van Steel at the rear
According to what Van Steel said there will be no problem using the knock offs. I am also changing all of the brake lines and cant say i am looking forward to change the front to rear brake line
The other only thing i want to add is power steering so i will go for a PS kit from some vendor

It is a tight fit if you use the stock pulleys on a '63 and '64 frame, as the '65 up had this notch to get extra room. However, the only issue is if you have bad engine mounts (engine drops into frame) or when changing belts. If you use an undersized pulley, you don't have the belt issue.
Remember, these are short water pumps. Using the long pumps, and the extended lower pulleys will get you into clearance problems. The pump will be almost in contact with the timing chain, not with an inch of room. The pulley will have the grooves almost flush with the balancer, not extended out about an inch. Be sure to have the right stuff.

Just bought mine for $315 + $78 shipping. I'm taking a chance they'll fit under my '64's KOs. There are two sets left at this price on the eBay site.
Bob@superiormustangparts.com has a 0 offset kit that he guarantees will fit with 15" knock offs. I hope he is right coz I just ordered a kit and a booster with twin master that he also guarantees to fit under the 64 hood without modification. It's all booked and coming down under so I will post once it's all on" if it fits" must say Bob was really helpful. I must have sent him 20 emails with dumb questions and he was only too happy to oblige
