I am completing a trailing arm/bushing referb' - and I had my stock 7 leaf sping re arched to keep the NCRS status.
Problem is with reassembly - the spring arch is such that jacking one end raises the car with about 2 inchs to go in spring travel to allow the bolt to be fit - I have the car on a lift so access is easy.
has anyone encountered this issue - and solutions welcome.
The reason this is happening is the lever arm (the front lift pad) is to close to the spring jack. Bring the car down put a jack stands in front of the engine cross member, this will give you a longer lever arm so the rear of the car will not come off the jack stand and you can attach the spring bolts.

Who did the re-arch on your spring, Bill? Would you mind sharing the cost? Also, what amount of re-arch did you get with the spring unloaded (i. e., measurement from a line between the two tips up to the underside of the center of the spring?
I had it done in Ft. Worth - local shop Champion' Spring. Cost $60 and he added 1 inch of arch over stock as measured from tip to center - I did not measure the absolute distance. I just installed yesterday and am putting exhaust in today and drive tomorrow - hope th get a stock' look for the car
