Default Windshield question

I am assembling my 61 and brought out the windshield frame to polish the stainless. When inspecting the headrail I noticed that the headrail channel fits in the groove on one side of the stainless but is out on the other. It seems obvious that it should be sitting in the groove on both sides but using all methods known to me, I cannot fit it back together. Has anyone of you out there run into this before?

Thanks,

John

Actually that is the way it is supposed to be in on one side and out on the other.

Thanks K2. It's been 9 years since I diassembled the car and you forget a good bit over that amount of time.
