Default Need help deciphering 327 engine codes

I'm trying to sell my 327 engine...it was installed by the previous owner after the original 1965 327 cylinder wall cracked.
Any help is appreciated.

Here are the codes. The only one that I can verify with the Nolan Adams Guide is the block casting #3782870: corvette block Jan. 15, 1964
The SB suffix is a mystery.

Block: stamped number in front YL66638FOI25SB
Block Casting Number: 3782870 date code A 15 4

Intake: Casting Number 3866922 date code A 27 5

Cylinder Heads: Casting number 3782416 Date codes A 14 4 and A 4 4

That block was used not only in Corvettes but passenger cars with 327's also so I would bet that is where that engine came from. The SB is strange as is the VIN derivative. I've never seen that type VIN in a Corvette. For the heads did you mean 3782461 and not 416?

My mechanic sent me those #'s, which I already had, except for the heads. Maybe he wrote it incorrectly.
Thanks

The 461's were the right heads for a 327 so it was probably transcribed wrong. I have some literature that says the SB suffix was for a full size for what it is worth.

Might be the original intake depending on which engine option the car had and when it was built. 250HP completed in Feb/March '65?

The car's birthdate is Jan. 16, 1965. It's original motor was a 327/250 with PG.

Your intake manifold was used in all 1965 standard 327 V-8 applications including the 283/220 and 327/250 for all carlines.

It was also a service replacement manifold in later years. There should be a cast date on it, behind the carb.

casting date is Jan 27 1965, so not the original for that car.
