Default pulling engine question
When pulling the engine and transmission as a unit in a 62, do you have to remove the shift from the transmission or will the transmission drop down enough in the back to allow the shift to clear the tunnel?

you will to remove the shifter if it is a stock type. if you have a Hurst with the removable stick, then maybe not.

It's a stock shifter, PIA to get to the bolts.

Remove the cross member first and it's easy to get to them. I just did it last week.
