I was wanting to know if side pipes will fit on a 64 coupe with out any problems. I know they were not stand for that year. If so were would I buy them for a reasonable cost with the deep sound for an L 76 engine.
Also keep in mind that you can get metal or fiberglass covers for the pipes. The fiberglass ones are more like the original and do not conduct heat that causes those nasty leg burns when you step out of the car wearing shorts.
A 64 frame does not have the "key hole" slot in the frame that is used to mount the rear of the sidepipe so you will have to tack weld a stud on the frame to mount the rear.
