You need a paper clip. Straighten it out and push it into the little hole on the bottom of the switch just below the key. This will unlock the center piece (where the key goes). Pull it out. Then you unscrew the outer ring on the gauge side. This allows you to drop the inside piece out. You could have a key made to fit it also. Most any home/automotive locksmith can do it. I did it on mine and the cost was under $20. :cheers:
...you didn't say if you want to keep the switch but if it's expendable, you don't need a locksmith to get it out...you need a big freakin' drill bit just large enough to cause the tumblers to drop and release the mechanism - scary but practical (and you won't need a paper clip, fer sure)
