Default Another C-2 Audio/Speaker Thread

Hello, I am getting my 65 radio converted to 180 watts by Classic Auto Radio. I am going to build front kick panel speaker enclosures and am looking for the highest quality yet smallest speakers to put in front. I have got the rear worked out but really need fronts. There are a lot of opinions out there and I am willing to listen to anyone who has done this or has knowledge on this subject. I have read everything from Harley Davidson handlebar speakers to Bose Acustomass home type speakers will work. I want the best speakers I can get so it don't sound like a beer can but can fit in the fabricated kick panel. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Fred Z.

Kappas are a great speaker. Not sure what size you are fabbing the kick panels to, but I have 4" Focals in my kick panels. I would have loved to have gone with a 6.5" speaker in there, but I used the preformed kick panels from Ecklers as my starting point.

I'm not sure I have room for 6.5 speakers but since I am fabbing these myself I might make them work. Anyway I'll be checking out both of your suggestions.

Thanks for the help,
F.Z.

Here are a couple pics so you can get an idea of how the 4" speakers look. You might be able to come up with a cool way to get the 6.5" speakers in there without intruding too much into your foot space. Good luck and post some pics when you start working on them.
