I hear it's fairly common on 327. A buddy had a crack like that in his '64 FI car. The engine had lots of miles on it and when it was torn down to rebuild, they found the crack. Welded it up and been okay for a long time.

Location of the crack- right thru the oil supply hole, I personally wouldn't ever trust it again. I mean- how are you gonna weld that up and redrill? Also had a significant amount of heat when the main bearing spun. Just an opinion, and I'm sure you'll get several.
It could be "fixed" and if done correctly by a welder who really knows what they are doing should be OK for just cruising. However, since this is NOT an original block, and I am guessing you like to get your foot on it, I would not go to that trouble and expense only to have a repaired engine in the end. Pilot Dan
