I'm in the process of rebuilding my column, and received the "how to" that was wrirren by Dave Zuberer. The write up was GREAT, but, I actually pulled apart the column BEFORE receiving this write up. I did not put any markings on any of the parts. Any suggestions what problems I might anticipate when putting column back together?
Thanks for any help.
Hello Ernie,
did mine this weekend new turn signal switch and cam, no big problem but buy a new lower bearing. Took mine out to clean and repack and it fell apart in my hands. Your wheels look good on my 64.
If you have an AIM, it has a nice exploded view of all of the parts of the column, in fact, if I remember correctly Dave's write up includes that view. Just go slow and be careful!
Thanks for the replys. Ed I'm glad everything worked out with the wheels. My only concern with the rebuild of the column is that Daves write up talked about the marks BEFORE removing which I did not do. My hope is that this not not causea major problem when I put back into the car.
Thanks again
