Default Need help with '63 Wiper Blades......

I just received wiper blade inserts I ordered for my '63 and they are too long.
I am looking for the correct rubber inserts with the raised dots. They need to be 15" to fit my original Trico wiper arms.
Has anyone had sucess getting the correct ones?
Which supplier did you purchase them from? Thanks.

I don't think anyone reproduces the correct ones with the dots.

You can find them at flea markets in old TRICO boxes.

TRICO blades were used on other cars too, Fords, etc.

If you are willing to buy the whole wiper arm and blade...
pricey -- but welcome to the world of Corvettes - especially one year only, vintage Corvettes: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Corvette-1963-1964-1965-Trico-wiper-blades-original-show-quality-PR-15-2W-/260994909095?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_ Accessories&hash=item3cc48243a7&vxp=mtr

He states the blades are "TriCo service replacements" don't know how correct that makes them but at least they are the right length..

Your best bet is to go the swap meets and look for them.

The top pic shows a pair of correct 15" refills coming out of a Lincoln Mercury box.

(Although the box is faded)

The bottom pic is a close up of the dots.

I think your best bet is to go scrounging at swap meets and look at any/all TRICO, GM, Ford, etc. 15" refills you see.

Chuck,
I had no idea that a vintage Ford wiper blade would be the same as a GM wiper blade.
That information is very helpful!
Thank You,

Trico made inserts for everybody, not GM exclusively.

(Secret swap meet trick. )

I had no idea about the correct Trico wiper inserts having tiny dots. Going to look at my inserts. Learn something new everyday. Another reason why this site is tops.
