I am looking for correct steel wheels for my 1960.
Just found some but they are not Kelsey Hayes...they are NT manufacture.
They are corrrect size 15X5K and have info on inside of wheel..."Made in USA 15x5K N T D 6" and logo. (not sure about offsets?)
I am assuming NT = mfg, D = April, 6 = 1956.
Question...will these work for my car & if I find (2) more K-H wheels...will they be same configuration.

Thanks for any help, Dan
Those wheels were made by Norris Industries, which wasn't a Chevrolet wheel supplier; if the offset/backspace is somewhere close to original spec, they should be OK functionally, but they won't fly in judging. Do they have the required four raised "nubs" stamped in the rim flange to retain the full wheel covers? If not, you'll have to add them by welding and metal-finishing or you won't be able to use your wheel covers.
You might contact George Stelzer in Oklahoma. I dont know which wheel, the rivet or the welded ones are correct for your model but he should know.
The rivet wheels are a lot cheaper than the welded ones and also have the nubs that secure the hubcaps. His phone # is 630 561 0260.

The rivet wheels do have the nubs and will work fine on a C1, but they were never OEM Corvette wheels, they came on 55-56 passenger cars.
the rivet wheels with the nubs were used on corvettes at least till the end of the 55 run.
I have been told that they were never used on any year of Corvette, but that it was a popular misconception that they were.
If I'm not mistaken, I think John was one of the people who told me that?
If I'm wrong, I'll stand corrected.

all wheels i have on my 55s are riveted! this is the reason i leave items unrestored. i do not know how to post pictures, but send me your email address and i will send you a picture of a unrestored wheel from the end of the 55 run. when you see the color of the wheel i do not think you'll have much doubt of what year corvette it came from.

Nope, wasn't me. Some 5" '56 (and maybe some '57) wheels were riveted, and all '57-'62 5-1/2" wheels were riveted. I'm not familiar with '53-'55 wheels, but others here are.
What about '62 15x5 wheels-my Corvette had steel wheels on it when I bought it last year-3 are welded, and 1 is riveted. Do I need to replace the one riveted wheel, or the 3 welded wheels to be correct?

'62 had welded wheels, popular consensus is the ones with the "dogbone" cutout.
