90 Degree angle adaptor for distributor tach..Questions
Hello
i just installed the tach adaptor on my Vette...This went in without any problems....However, Im concerned that it may be too loose..I can moce the tach cable and adaptor back and forth fairly easly...Should it be tighter than that? Or is it suppose to have some play in it??
Thanks
Pete

the tach cable might move inside, but i don't believe the adapter should move at all, it should be as tight as it would be if you tighten the tach cable itself directly to the distributor.

I have often wondered why these adapters are needed. Something must not be oriented correctly. Dennis

If the distributor is correctly installed/oriented, there's no need for any 90* tach cable adapter; the drive fitting will aim the cable directly at the firewall hole and grommet.

On mine, there is no looseness or play in the adaptor to the distributor itself - or in the tach cable to the adaptor. There may be some minor play of the cable in the sheathing. Sounds like it the adaptor and cable are not threaded on tightly if I understand your question correctly.
