Default Flaw

When did they notice he flaw on the valve cover of the 1966 corvette early of late year? I thought it was on the early ones , someone mid march was when the mold crack and was notice. Does anyone when it was noticed? Thank you

About March, 1966, around #17,000.

Could a early built motor have it on or did the cast brake in march and from that point on was the flaw? Thank you again

It is my understanding that the flaw started out faint and got more pronounced as time went on
