Let's hear from C-1-2 Forum members who have owned their C1-2 since new? Not almost, but first title holder.

I think the silence will be deafening...original owners of many of our C1s have long since gone to the "happy hunting ground"...

well...kinda
My father bought my '59 new. I was 12. I did go for the first run into Chicago as co-pilot. He let me have it in 1963. We have the same name, so I have the original bill-of-sale in "my" name. That's probably my bike...

Well if it makes you feel better here is an original owner of a '53, also father of the B-24 Liberator WW-II bomber and, last but not least, my namesake:

My grandfather bought the 53 from the only Chevy dealer in Wichita Falls Texas in September of '53.
When did the 53s hit the showroom?

Safety Car
One of my friends at the local car shows has a 1960 that he bought brand new to establish a credit score. He missed the first 2 payments because he forgot, so he just paid it off the next month. It is an all original 3 speed with both tops. I think it has had 1 repaint and that is about it. He has about 80k on the clock and still has the original light bulbs, but one is burned out. Hes not really that much of a car guy, but he does not want to let it go. I have had the honor of driving it 2 times and I think a street sweeper passed us because I was not wrecking his car. He never married and not kids and is in his mid 80's.

Does it count if a friend who lives a couple of blocks away has had his SWC since new?
He has 10 classic cars most of which he has personally restored. From a Model T to a 80s Ferrari. He races a solid axle vette & a UK 50s Peerless several times a year in vintage racing events....alas...he's not a online type of person.
